Rolleston is a large rapidly growing town south of Christchurch on State Highway 1 connected to Christchurch via the Southern Motorway. The town offers a country and relaxed alternative to living in Christchurch while being within easy commutable distance. A short distance from the town is Burnham, best known for the Burnham Military Camp.
